In the Bay of Plenty there are a growing amount of schools that are participating in Water Polo, please contact your school if you wish to play in the leagues listed below.
Flippa Ball is designed as an introduction to water polo, played in a shallow pool where children can touch the bottom. Players also learn the fundamentals of water polo: passing, defending, shooting, and the rules of the game. Games are played at different venues where Mini Water Polo is played across Tauranga and held at Memorial and Papamoa Swimming Pool.
This is a great opportunity for our senior players to begin their Referee journey.
The seasons for Flippa Ball are: Term 1 & Term 4
TGA Flippa Ball League
- Papamoa - Sunday 29th October - 3rd December 2023, 10am - 3.30pm
- Memorial - Tuesdays 31st October - 5th December 2023, 4pm - 7.30pm
There are three tournaments throughout the year that Year 7 and 8 school teams can participate in. The club hosts the following tournament:

TGA School League
- A & B grade - Tuesday 17th Oct - 1st Dec @ Toi Ohomai
- C grade - Friday 27th Oct - 1st Dec @ Toi Ohomai
TGA School League Term 4
- Junior College ( yr 9 & 10 ) - Thursday 12th Oct - 23rd Nov @ Baywave.
