To encourage younger players to get involved in water polo, particularly those enjoying Flippa Ball, we are introducing flexible options as a first step into the sport.

New Membership Options for Term 1
To encourage younger players to get involved in water polo, we are introducing some flexible options:
1) Rookies Water Polo (Fridays) & Polo Fundamentals Sessions (Saturdays)
- Join one or both - same format, different nights.
- Ideal for those new (ish) to water polo, these sessions provide an opportunity to learn the basics and enjoy the fun of water polo.
- If players enjoy the sessions, they can choose to join the club to carry on training in terms 2 & 3 and to play for the club in tournaments.
- Updated Start Dates & Fees
- Rookies starts Friday 28th Feb - $10 per session on Fridays (Toi Ohimai) for six weeks
- Polo Fundamentals starts Saturday 22nd Feb - $12 per session (Baywave) for seven weeks.

2) Term One Only Membership
- This option is perfect for younger players who haven’t participated in tournaments before and want to give it a go.
- They will join the Polo Fundamentals Sessions in Term 1 and be entered into a Newbies team for our local Tauranga Tournament.
- This membership is designed for players who are new to the sport and is not suitable for experienced players or players who wish to be considered for C grade (or higher) teams.
- After Term 1, players can switch to full membership in Term 2 and pay the remainder of the Club Registration fees.
- Cost:
- $100 ($50 for the club registration fee + $50 for the coaching fee for the Tauranga Tournament)
- $12 per session for Polo Fundamentals (Total: $96 for eight sessions)
